In the bachelor's programme in English and American Studies, you will immerse yourself in the English language, literature and culture. From Shakespeare to TikTok: You will explore historical and cultural phenomena in the anglophone world. In this process, you will become a language professional. Linguistics, language acquisition and text analysis will accompany you throughout your studies and open up new perspectives.

    Please note: the entrance exam procedure takes place only once per academic year! Only those who successfully participate in it and meet all admission requirements can start their studies.

Are you fascinated by the English language and culture? Join us in exploring the language, culture and literature of anglophone countries, from classical works to contemporary texts and media.

You will also examine social, historical and political issues that shape the English-speaking world. The programme will equip you with linguistic and analytical skills as well as a deep understanding of cultural diversity.
